I Am Metal (And So Can You!)

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Heavy metal and extreme music is frequently seen as a boys’ club. But in fact, women have a great deal of responsibilities, not only on the stage, but also on the business end. From vice presidents and general managers of record labels to owners of publicity firms to merchandising gurus to tour managers to journalists and book authors, women play a tremendous role in bringing metal to the masses. This panel will explore the many professions women occupy in metal, the challenges we face and the strategies we employ, as well as offering advice for like-minded extreme-music lovers seeking to get into the business.
