Backlash: What Really Happened to Michelle Shocked?
When folk singer Michelle Shocked said “If someone would be so gracious to tweet out, ‘God hates faggots,’ would you do it now?” from the stage at Yoshi's in San Francisco earlier this year she ignited a firestorm of biblical proportions. Her audience booed her from the stage, then left in droves.

The media called her outburst hate speech. Then, one by one, each of her shows on her "Truth vs Reality" tour were canceled. But Shocked showed up anyway, sometimes dressed in HAZMAT gear and protesting outside each venue. Michelle's bizarre interviews on radio and television only added fuel to the fire.

Journalist Chris Willman of the Hollywood Reporter has been following the story closely and (although Michelle may disagree) very fairly. He joins Liz Reeder, a long-time friend of Michelle's, to unravel the truth and reality behind her mysterious fall from grace.
